GSS conducts Qualification and Skills Mismatch Survey June

The Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment (MLJE) and the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) will conduct a national survey. This survey is called the Qualifications and Skills Mismatches Survey (QSMS).

It will focus on people employed in the country. The month-long survey starts in June 2024.

This survey follows a pilot conducted from November to December 2023. The pilot took place in Greater Accra, Northern, and Upper West Regions.

The main goal of the survey is to measure qualifications and skills mismatches among workers.

To prepare for the survey, MLJE engaged relevant stakeholders in Accra. They sought input from these stakeholders to improve the process.
