The Ghana Tourism Authority has launched a new Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Department. This department aims to strengthen cooperation between the government and private sector. The goal is to drive sustainable growth in Ghana’s tourism industry.
The initiative was unveiled at a press conference yesterday. It is expected to boost investment and improve infrastructure. Additionally, it will promote Ghana as a leading cultural and tourist destination in West Africa.
Maame Efua Huoadjeto, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, called the launch a “pivotal moment.” She emphasized its importance for Ghana’s tourism journey. The new department is supported by Section 42 of the Tourism Act, 2011 (Act 817). This section calls for establishing a Public-Private Partnership forum.
