King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, has called for action against prostate cancer. He described it as a quiet but deadly epidemic affecting men in Ghana.
Many families are mourning preventable losses. Men suffer in silence due to lack of awareness and healthcare access. They also face inadequate support.
At a media launch for the “Men United Against Prostate Cancer and Prostatitis” campaign, he spoke on his behalf. He emphasized that his involvement is not just symbolic. It reflects his role as “a father to the nation and a guardian of life.”
The campaign is organized by the Office of the Ga Mantse and the Cancer Project Foundation. Its goals are to raise awareness, promote early detection, and encourage healthy lifestyles among men.
