Ghana, Algeria enhance cooperation in key sectors

Ghana and Algeria have agreed to enhance cooperation in key sectors.

They will increase scholarships for Ghanaian students in artificial intelligence, robotics, and engineering.

During a recent meeting, both countries pledged to establish a direct air link. This link will connect Accra and Algiers.

They also plan to launch a strategic partnership in oil and gas. Additionally, they aim to strengthen cooperation in security and intelligence sharing.

This agreement follows an official visit by Ghana's Foreign Minister, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

He visited Algiers last week for high-level meetings. He met with Algeria's President, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and Foreign Minister, Mr. Ahmed Attaf.
