The Department of Public Relations (DPR) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) held a farewell ceremony for Brigadier-General Eric Aggrey-Quashie. This event took place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the department's headquarters.
Brig-Gen Aggrey-Quashie officially handed over command to Captain (GN) Veronica Adzo Arhin. This marked a significant leadership transition for the department. The ceremony celebrated Brig-Gen Aggrey-Quashie's dedicated service to the GAF and DPR.
Under his leadership, the DPR achieved important milestones in communication and public engagement. In his farewell speech, he thanked the DPR team for their commitment and professionalism. He encouraged them to continue striving for excellence under new leadership.
Captain (GN) Arhin brings extensive experience in military communication to her new role. Her appointment is seen as a positive step for the department’s future.
The ceremony also honored two retiring officers: Ex-SWOII Acquaye Eric Joseph and WOI Akpabi Kwesi Brown. Both have served exemplary 30-year careers with the department.
