Ghana Armed Forces retires soldiers after 30 years’ service

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will start releasing soldiers this month.

This release involves personnel from the 1995 and 1996 year groups.

These soldiers have completed their 30 years of service. They have also reached the compulsory retirement age.

Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director General Public Relations, announced this.

The announcement was shared in a press statement on Thursday.

GAF stated that general releases had been suspended for five years.

This suspension was due to CI 129, which extended service terms by five years.
