The Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL) has raised alarms over Parliament's failure to approve the first quarter 2025 budget, cautioning against severe consequences for government operations, including delayed public sector salaries.
Speaker Alban Bagbin recalled Parliament on December 16, 2024, to discuss key issues like tax exemptions and a mini-budget.
However, the absence of Finance Minister Dr. Amin Adam hindered progress, leading to adjournment without approval.
GFL Secretary-General Abraham Koomson criticized the impasse, warning of disruptions to essential services and growing frustration among public workers already grappling with economic challenges under the NPP administration.
He urged a swift resolution to avert further hardship.
