The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has emphasized the need for stronger partnerships to enhance child healthcare nationwide.
Speaking at the Paediatric Society of Ghana’s Annual General and Scientific Meeting on February 8, 2025, Acting Director-General Prof. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea highlighted the importance of collective action in safeguarding children’s health.
He stressed that ensuring child survival lays the foundation for future professionals, including scientists and national leaders.
Prof. Akoriyea reaffirmed GHS’s commitment to strengthening collaborations under the SDG3 Global Action Plan and welcomed further discussions with the Paediatric Society.
This year’s meeting, attended by key stakeholders, focused on achieving universal health coverage by closing healthcare gaps and building a resilient system for children’s well-being.
