The first National Tracking Poll of 2025 was conducted by Global InfoAnalytics. It shows that the Ghana Police Service and the Immigration Service are seen as the most corrupt institutions in the country.
The survey assessed corruption across various sectors. The Police ranked highest with a score of 6.43. The Immigration Service followed closely with a score of 5.86.
Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director at Global InfoAnalytics, shared these findings. He noted growing public concerns about corruption in these institutions.
The Judiciary ranked third with a score of 5.78. This reflects worries about integrity within the legal system.
Tax officials from the Ghana Revenue Authority scored 5.68. Local government representatives and business executives both scored 5.63, making them appear corrupt to the public.
Other moderately corrupt institutions include the Electoral Commission (5.58), traditional leaders (5.51), and Parliament (5.47).
The Prison Service scored 5.43, while the Military and Presidency both scored 5.27, indicating lower levels of perceived corruption.
Interestingly, ministers and government officials received the lowest score of 4.61. This suggests that the public sees them as less corrupt compared to other institutions.
These survey results have sparked discussions on needed reforms and accountability measures to combat corruption nationwide.
Mr. Dankwah shared these insights on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Wednesday, April 2.
