Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has announced a reform agenda. This plan aims to transform Ghana Post into a modern logistics hub. The goal is to enhance e-commerce, cross-border trade, and public service delivery.
During a press briefing on April 9, 2025, the Minister shared details of the strategy. It was developed after assessing the state-owned postal service's readiness.
“These reforms will make Ghana Post essential for e-commerce and trade,” he said. They will also improve access to government services and boost the economy.
The first phase focuses on upgrading infrastructure and information systems. This will help keep up with technology while enhancing cyber protection.
The second part involves improving logistics operations for faster delivery services. This change is vital for meeting the needs of a growing digital economy.
“Plans are underway to strengthen domestic and cross-border trade logistics,” Mr. George noted. This effort will particularly support small businesses looking to expand internationally.
