Ghana-Russia Centre and UAE explore collaborative opportunities for growth and innovation

The Ghana-Russia Centre for Commerce and Relations recently met with Dr. Abdulla Al Mandoos. He is the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Ghana. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between Ghana and the UAE.

This high-level meeting took place on Tuesday, April 15, in Accra. Participants discussed cooperation in key sectors like science, technology, education, and youth engagement.

Mr. John Aggrey led the delegation from The Centre. He highlighted the importance of science and technology for societal transformation. He expressed interest in leveraging the UAE’s advanced technological expertise.

Dr. Abdulla Al Mandoos emphasized the UAE's success in tech-driven initiatives. He confirmed his country's willingness to share knowledge and resources.

Mr. Aggrey mentioned that they discussed collaborative opportunities. These include joint research projects, technology transfers, and capacity-building programs for Ghanaian youth. He noted that Ghana's youthful population presents both challenges and opportunities for innovation.

Dr. Al Mandoos also suggested exploring trade, fintech, and investment opportunities for collaboration. He recognized significant untapped potential between the two nations.

The Ambassador stressed that open dialogue is essential for advancing these efforts. Mr. Aggrey stated that both his office and the UAE Embassy are committed to continuing discussions.
