The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) has issued a 24-hour weather forecast. They warn the public about high temperatures and possible late-day thunderstorms.
Minimum temperatures will range from 23°C in coastal areas to 25°C in the north. Maximum temperatures could reach 39°C in the northern region, making it the hottest area. Other regions will see highs between 33°C and 35°C.
Early Wednesday morning will be mostly cloudy with mist patches. These patches may develop over forested, mountainous, and some coastal areas. Reduced visibility is expected, so GMET advises caution for motorists and early commuters.
By afternoon, most of the country will experience sunny conditions with clouds. The northern region is expected to remain sunny and dry throughout the day.
As evening approaches, GMET warns of possible thunderstorms in the northern and transition belts. Isolated storms may also occur in the middle belt and along the western coast. These storms could cause localized flooding or travel disruptions.
While the overall risk level is low, GMET urges people to stay informed, especially in vulnerable areas. Residents should stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours. They should also take precautions during evening storms.
