Ghana can only be developed by NPP – Andy Appiah-Kubi

Andy Appiah-Kubi, the former MP for Asante Akim North, has made a bold claim. He believes only the New Patriotic Party (NPP) can develop Ghana.

Appiah-Kubi stated that the NPP is committed to doing better. He emphasized that Bryan Acheampong is the candidate who can achieve this. Speaking to journalists, he said, “The NPP is the only party that can develop Ghana.”

He expressed strong support for Dr. Bryan Acheampong, the former Agriculture Minister and current Abetifi MP. Appiah-Kubi described him as a great candidate who can help redeem the NPP.

According to him, Dr. Acheampong is ideal for leadership. He stressed that the NPP needs a strong candidate for the 2028 elections. “Our task is to present a great candidate,” he added.

Appiah-Kubi highlighted Acheampong’s intelligence and business acumen as key traits. He remarked, “If we are looking for intellectual prowess, Bryan is the one.” He believes Acheampong can bring success to the party.

Some Ghanaians reacted critically to his comments online. One user expressed concern about political loyalty over national progress. Another noted that past goodwill for the NPP has diminished.

A different netizen pointed out issues with party loyalty affecting personal lives. An X user criticized journalism in Ghana for not addressing past scars left by political parties.
