Ghana can’t be a cocaine coast - CDM to Mahama gov’t

The Centre for Democratic Movement (CDM) has issued a strong warning.

They say Ghana could be labeled a “Cocaine Coast.”

This could happen if allegations about suspicious international flights are not addressed quickly.

CDM cautioned that weak oversight might lead to serious consequences.

Increased scrutiny of Ghanaian travelers and exports could occur.

There may also be a drop in investor confidence and reputational damage.

“Ghana must not become a permissive corridor for narcotic trafficking,” the group stated.

They urged the government to act decisively to protect national integrity.

The CDM called for full disclosure from the Civil Aviation Authority.

They also want the National Security Secretariat involved.

Additionally, they request Parliament conduct a transparent inquiry.

International partners should support this inquiry if necessary.
