Black Stars head coach Otto Addo calls Ghana’s upcoming match against Madagascar a “small final.” He insists the team must give 100% to win.
Ghana aims to build on their recent victory over Chad. Addo is determined not to leave anything to chance.
“We need 100 percent, not 98 or 99,” he stated, according to Ghana FA.
“This is like a small final. Winning this game will help us qualify, but it will be tough.”
The match will take place in Morocco. Many believe Ghana will benefit from the neutral venue. However, Addo warns about psychological traps.
“There is an advantage playing away from home,” he said. “But sometimes it can be a trap.”
He added that players might underestimate the atmosphere and give less effort.
“We must stay alert regardless of the circumstances,” he emphasized. “We can't assume we will win; we have to work hard.”
Every detail matters in this match, according to Addo. “Every centimeter and duel is important,” he noted.
Madagascar impressed in their last game and poses a serious threat. Addo knows his team cannot take them lightly.
“We observed Madagascar's performance; they are in good form,” he said. “It’s going to be a tough game.”
Despite some injury concerns, Addo believes the team is ready. “In all, we are good to go,” he assured.
He also called on Ghanaians for continued support: “Thank you, Accra, for the amazing atmosphere.”
Addo expressed gratitude towards the President and sports minister for their efforts. He urged fans to keep supporting the team: “Together, we can do this.”
