The National Celebrations Planning Committee (NCPC) has outlined events for Ghana’s 68th Independence anniversary, beginning with the commemoration of the 28th February Crossroad Shooting Incident.

Other key activities include a nationwide school quiz final on March 2, a debate on March 4, and the President’s School Children Awards on March 5.

The celebrations will climax with a grand parade at the presidency on March 6.

To boost public engagement, the committee will roll out historical content and host an X-space discussion on civil protests.

A wreath-laying ceremony at Nationalism Park on February 28 will be broadcast live.

Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has urged media and the public to actively participate in promoting the anniversary’s theme.
