President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has highlighted his administration's economic achievements, claiming Ghana’s GDP has quadrupled since he assumed office in 2017.
Speaking to Organized Labour and Professional Associations on December 3, 2024, he described the last eight years as transformative, with pre-COVID GDP growth reaching 8.3%.
Expressing gratitude for their support, the President lauded the partnership between labour groups and the government, emphasizing its role in Ghana’s stability amid regional terrorism threats.
He noted the collaboration fostered global recognition for managing the COVID-19 pandemic effectively.
President Akufo-Addo also celebrated the peaceful relations with organized labour, crediting it for reducing strife and ensuring productive cooperation throughout his tenure.
