Dennis Miracles Aboagye is the Director of Communications for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 elections. He expressed confidence in Ghana’s democracy. He sees this as a positive sign for the country’s political future.
Aboagye emphasized the role of voters and opposition parties. They are crucial in shaping democratic development.
In an interview on JoyNews’ AM Show, he discussed Ghana’s democratic growth. He noted that voters can now make decisions based on their needs and aspirations.
“Ghanaian democracy is growing, and that’s a good thing,” he said.
He added, “It’s a positive sign when millions vote one way and then change based on new hopes.” This shows democracy's strength, allowing people to express their choices.
Mr. Aboagye also pointed out that democracy goes beyond elections. It involves ongoing responsibilities for political parties, especially the opposition.
“Our job as an opposition party is to fulfill our responsibilities,” he explained. “We must provide credible alternatives to government actions.”
This allows people to evaluate options and make informed choices.
“The people must always have options,” he concluded. “Our role is to ensure they have alternatives that match their values and hopes.”
