Ghana’s oil Industry to see boost as Chevron and Kosmos Energy pledge increased investments – Energy Minister

The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has made an announcement.

Chevron, a global energy giant, is interested in Ghana’s upstream sector.

Kosmos Energy has also committed to increasing its investments in the industry.

This news could revitalize Ghana’s oil and gas sector. The sector has faced a decline in recent years.

In a Facebook post on March 27, the Energy Minister highlighted foreign investment's importance.

He stated that the government is dedicated to creating a favorable environment for investors.

They aim to enhance the country’s oil production capacity.

"We must take all necessary measures," Jinapor said. "We need to reverse the downward trend in Ghana’s oil sector."
