Ghana to experience hot weather with isolated thunderstorms in some areas – GMet Forecast

Ghanaians should prepare for a hot and sunny day. This is according to the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet).

High temperatures are expected across the country. The northern region may reach up to 40°C.

This morning, residents in forest zones and highlands have misty conditions. There is also light cloud cover in these areas.

As the day goes on, sunny weather will dominate nationwide. This will cause temperatures to rise further.

Coastal and forest areas will see minimum temperatures of 25°C. Highs in these regions are expected around 33°C.

The transition zone will experience a wider range of temperatures. It will be between 23°C and 36°C. The northern regions will be the hottest, ranging from 25°C to 40°C.

Despite the dry weather, GMet warns of possible thunderstorms later today. This could affect parts of the middle belt, transition zone, and northern sector into the evening.

The public is advised to stay hydrated during this heat. Limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours. Stay alert for updates on changing weather patterns.
