Ghana to host launch of ECOWAS 50th anniversary

Ghana will host the launch for the 50th anniversary of ECOWAS today.

President John Dramani Mahama will lead the event at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The celebration will include unveiling an anniversary logo and declaring a theme.

Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced this at a press conference on Friday.

Following the launch, there will be an extraordinary meeting of ECOWAS Council of Ministers. This meeting is scheduled for April 22-23, 2025.
