The US Embassy in Accra reports a significant rise in Ghanaian visa applications, tripling since 2019 and outpacing increased processing resources.

While this surge reflects strong interest in US travel, it has created a backlog.

Starting August 16, all visa applications will migrate to a new system, temporarily halting new appointments and customer service until August 26.

Applicants with interviews before August 16 should print their appointment confirmation.

Those with interviews between August 16-26 must attend as scheduled, and after August 26, applicants will use the new system for managing appointments.

The Embassy advises timely actions to avoid disruptions.
