Ghanaian doctor wins prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship Leadership Impact Award

Dr. Joel Duah Afi, a 2019 Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumnus from Ghana, has won the prestigious 2024 Leadership Impact Award, announced by the U.S. Embassy in Ghana.

This award celebrates exceptional achievements within the Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Network.

Dr. Duah, who accepted the award in Washington, D.C., will engage with Alumni and 2024 Fellows over the next year.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship, part of the U.S. Government's Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), aims to empower young African leaders through various developmental programs.

Laneice Brooker, Cultural Affairs Attaché, praised Dr. Duah's contributions as a medical doctor and health educator, highlighting his role as an inspiring ambassador for the Fellowship.
