Ghanaians don’t need an ‘economic dialogue’ to know their struggles – Kwesi Pratt

Veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt has dismissed the need for a National Economic Dialogue to assess Ghana’s economic state, arguing that ordinary citizens already feel the harsh realities.

Speaking on Peace FM, Pratt stated that no forum is needed to reveal the struggles of Ghanaians who can barely afford food, pay bills, or meet basic needs.

His comments follow the 2-day economic dialogue initiated by President John Mahama to address the nation’s economic challenges.

While the event gathered top experts and policymakers, Pratt insisted that citizens, not politicians, are the best judges of the economy.

He further blamed Ghana’s persistent economic woes on bad leadership, criticizing successive governments for relying on foreign aid despite the country’s vast natural resources.
