Old Tafo MP, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has asserted that Ghanaians owe former minister Cecilia Dapaah an apology if they accept Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa’s claim of renting at Airport Hills for eight years.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Pure FM, Assafuah questioned how Ablakwa could afford rent in an exclusive, owner-occupied area where prices reportedly start at $15,000 per month.
He argued that if Ablakwa’s claim is valid, then the public outrage over Cecilia Dapaah’s $1 million cash saga was unjustified.
Assafuah further accused Ablakwa of hypocrisy, revealing that after his vetting, he flew business class to London at a cost of GHC120,000, contradicting his stance on prudent spending.
He insisted that Ablakwa and Sam George’s approvals would not be unanimous.
