Give peace a chance – Mpraeso MP to Bawku youth

Davis Ansah Opoku, the MP for Mpraeso, urged Bawku's youth to prioritize peace. He expressed concern about the ongoing violence in the area. This conflict hinders development and affects the future of young people.

Mr. Opoku noted that unrest costs lives and damages property. It also delays progress in education and infrastructure. "Bawku is lagging behind in development," he said, urging stakeholders to consider the long-term effects of conflict.

He emphasized that peace is essential for progress. Young people need a stable environment to build a better future. He highlighted educational disparities caused by conflict between Bawku youth and those in peaceful regions.

"The kids in Bawku will sit for the same BECE as kids in Accra," he stated. They also want to attend the same universities as their peers in Accra. He stressed the importance of equal opportunities through a peaceful setting.

Mr. Opoku concluded with a heartfelt plea: "I urge the young people of Bawku to give peace a chance." He emphasized that only through peace can Bawku achieve development, education, and national inclusion.
