Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central constituency, Kwame Asare-Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has demanded updates on the 2019 murder investigation of journalist Ahmed Suale.
In a Facebook post, A Plus revealed that he was invited to the CID headquarters last year, where he provided crucial information, including naming a former government minister as the alleged individual who contracted the assassins.
He described his source as "highly credible." A Plus has expressed frustration over the lack of progress in the case and has given the Ghana Police Service a 48-hour deadline to update the public.
Failure to do so will lead him to use his parliamentary powers to summon the police to brief Parliament.
If that doesn’t yield results, A Plus threatened to disclose his findings on social media.
Ahmed Suale, an investigative journalist, was shot dead in 2019 in Madina, Accra, yet no arrests or concrete conclusions have been made.
