Global InfoAnalytics: Poll reveals confidence in Yohuno as new IGP

The first National Tracking Poll of 2025 by Global InfoAnalytics has evaluated public confidence in the new Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno.

The results show that 58% of respondents trust Yohuno's leadership. In contrast, 12% expressed no confidence, and 30% were neutral.

Regarding the previous IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, opinions are divided. The poll indicates that 53% support his removal, while 18% oppose it. Additionally, 29% remain neutral.

Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, shared these findings on The Point of View on Channel One TV on April 2.

Despite mixed feelings about his tenure, Dampare received positive ratings for his election performance.

Fifty-nine percent rated it as "Very Good/Good." Twenty-one percent considered it "Average," and fourteen percent thought it was "Excellent." Only seven percent rated his performance as "Poor/Very Poor."

In related news, a separate poll found that 62% of Ghanaians believe the country is headed in the right direction.
