Go learn from him – Adongo tells Bawumia to take notes from Finance Minister

Isaac Adongo, the MP for Bolgatanga Central, criticized Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He suggested that Bawumia should be hiding due to the economic problems caused by his administration.

Adongo spoke on GHOne TV’s State of Affairs, as reported by MyNewsGH. He mocked Bawumia's role in Ghana's economic crisis. He claimed that the current Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has done more in three months than Bawumia did in years.

“In any serious country, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia should be in hiding,” Adongo stated. He noted that it took a young man like Dr. Adam less than three months to fix the mess.

Adongo praised Dr. Adam’s work with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He contrasted this with what he called Bawumia’s “empty knowledge” and poor performance.

“You won’t go and learn—you are still out there bragging,” he said. Adongo accused Bawumia of not taking responsibility for the crisis and ignoring his successor's achievements.

He claimed Ghana's recent IMF engagements have improved its international reputation. “Every room we enter, everybody wants to listen to us,” he said.

People are curious about how Ghana achieved this progress. Adongo compared Ghana favorably with countries like Sri Lanka and Pakistan, which are also recovering from economic issues.

While acknowledging Sri Lanka's recovery story, he insisted, “We have a better story.”
