Godfred Dame dragged to GLC over alleged misconduct

Former Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame has been reported to the General Legal Council (GLC). A private citizen, Daniel Ofosu-Appiah, filed the complaint. It concerns Dame’s conduct during a trial involving Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and businessman Richard Jakpa.

Ofosu-Appiah claims that Dame's actions raised serious ethical concerns. The complaint centers on an audio recording released by the National Democratic Congress (NDC). This recording allegedly captures Dame trying to influence Jakpa's testimony.

The petitioner argues that Dame violated ethical standards for legal practitioners. He has called for disciplinary proceedings against Dame for "professional misconduct."
