GoldBod and National Security bust foreigners attempting to smuggle gold

The GoldBod and National Security arrested several foreign nationals today. They were trying to smuggle gold out of the country.

This operation is part of a crackdown on illegal gold exports. The effort has intensified recently.

Sources tell JoyNews that many foreign nationals were caught. They attempted to smuggle a large amount of gold.

The operation involved both the Ghana Gold Board and National Security.

This smuggling attempt violates the Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025 (Act 1140). This law prohibits unauthorized gold exports.
