Goldbod will be sole exporter of gold in Small-Scale mining sector – Sammy Gyamfi 

In a recent announcement, Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), revealed that Goldbod will be the exclusive exporter of gold from Ghana's small-scale mining sector. This decision aims to streamline operations and enhance revenue generation within the industry. Gyamfi emphasized that this move is crucial for regulating the sector and ensuring that small-scale miners receive fair compensation for their efforts.

Gyamfi criticized previous government policies that he believes have hindered the growth of small-scale mining in Ghana. He argued that by designating Goldbod as the sole exporter, it would help eliminate illegal activities and promote transparency in gold exports. The NDC views this initiative as a way to support local miners while also boosting national economic development.

Furthermore, Gyamfi called on stakeholders to collaborate effectively to ensure the success of this new arrangement. He expressed optimism that with proper implementation, this strategy could lead to significant improvements in both environmental practices and financial returns for small-scale miners across Ghana.
