The Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, reassured Ghana's youth. He emphasized the government's commitment to their growth. This is part of a broader national “reset agenda.”
He spoke at the launch of the Adwumawura programme in Kumasi on April 28. The Minister said, “To the youth of Ghana, I believe in your capabilities.” He added that they are not idle but waiting for opportunities.
The Minister praised young Ghanaians' resilience and potential. He noted that under President John Mahama's leadership, the government aims to empower youth.
“This government is dedicated to fostering an environment for your growth,” he stated. He also reminded them, “There is always hope — a light at the end of the tunnel.”
He urged young people to take charge of their futures. They should “seize the opportunity and actively participate” in shaping their lives.
The Minister described this moment as a turning point. “The era of missed opportunities is behind us,” he said. This marks the dawn of a new era — the reset agenda driven by their efforts.
The “reset agenda” aims to revitalize Ghana’s socio-economic landscape. It focuses on inclusive development, youth entrepreneurship, and job creation.
