Sebastian Sandaare, Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health, reaffirmed the government's commitment to improving public health facilities.
He emphasized the need for better health systems to achieve positive health outcomes.
Mr. Sandaare is also the MP for Dafiama, Bussie/Issa in the Upper West Region. He spoke during a visit to Techiman Holy Family Hospital in Bono East.
The visit allowed committee members, including Prof Dr. Titus Beyou and Mr. Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, to assess hospital operations.
Mr. Sandaare stated that this visit would help produce a report for improving public health facilities. This report aims to enhance quality healthcare service delivery across the nation.
He praised the hospital management and staff for their dedication to quality services. He assured them that the government is ready to address challenges in healthcare delivery.
Dr. Peter Yeboah, Executive Director of the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), expressed commitment to collaborating with the government.
He noted that Techiman Holy Family Hospital is a major referral facility in Bono East. It also serves as a training center for medical officers and nurses.
Dr. Yeboah called for increased government support to improve services at the hospital. He highlighted the need for clinical infrastructure and a medical education center.
He urged all stakeholders to provide extensive support for effective service delivery in these communities.
