The Ministry of Interior has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on Binduri Township and its surrounding areas in the Upper East Region. The curfew, which runs from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, takes effect from Monday, March 24, 2025.
A statement from the ministry urged traditional and community leaders to exercise restraint and pursue peaceful resolutions to ongoing tensions. It further announced a total ban on carrying arms, ammunition, offensive weapons, wearing smocks, and riding motorbikes in the area.
