The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service (GHS), has launched a cholera vaccination campaign in Accra to curb the spread of the disease.

The exercise runs from February 14 to 17, 2025, targeting individuals aged one year and above.

Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh emphasized the need for improved sanitation to control cholera outbreaks.

He urged the public to seek medical attention when experiencing symptoms like diarrhea and dehydration.

Meanwhile, the minister clarified that any recruitment of health workers after December 31, 2024, is illegal, as no official portal has been opened.
