Gov't reaffirms commitment to inclusive governance – Deputy Chief of Staff

Nana Oye Bampoe Addo is the Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration. She reaffirmed the government's commitment to inclusive governance. This was during a multi-stakeholder engagement by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana).

Nana Oye emphasized transparency and participatory governance. These principles are central to the "Reset Agenda" led by John Mahama. She stated that their approach is accountable and effective.

The administration wants citizens to actively shape national policies. Over the past four months, they have taken steps to bring governance closer to people. Initiatives aim to increase civic participation and improve accountability.

Nana Oye praised CDD-Ghana for its research and policy recommendations. She called it a “strategic instrument of policy co-creation.” According to her, CDD-Ghana embodies a renewed social contract with Ghanaians.

This contract is based on dialogue, transparency, and results. The event gathered key stakeholders from government, civil society, and academia. They discussed ways to strengthen democratic governance and citizen engagement in policymaking.
