Government clears 31 days arrears owed school feeding caterers

The government has paid the 31 days of arrears to caterers. This payment is for the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) during the first term of the 2024/2025 academic year.

On April 9, the School Feeding Programme Secretariat issued a statement. They thanked the government for disbursing funds on time. This timely support allowed them to pay outstanding arrears to caterers.

The statement was signed by Hajia Fati Forgor, the National Coordinator. She also expressed gratitude to donor partners for their ongoing support.

The School Feeding Secretariat is undergoing reforms. These changes aim to decentralize operations and improve meal quality for schoolchildren. The goal is to ensure prompt payments to caterers as well.
