Government settles 31 days of arrears owed school feeding caterers

The Government has paid the 31-day arrears to caterers. This payment is for the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) for the First Term of the 2024/25 academic year.

A statement from the GSFP Secretariat confirmed this news. It was signed by Hajia Fati Forgor, the National Coordinator. The statement was also shared with the Ghana News Agency.

The GSFP Secretariat thanked the Government for timely funding. This funding helped pay off outstanding arrears owed to caterers.

Under MoGCSP supervision, the GSFP is restructuring its operations. The goal is to decentralize operations and improve food quality. They also aim to ensure consistent payments to caterers.

The statement expressed gratitude to donor partners as well. Their support helps sustain the Programme in collaboration with the Government of Ghana.
