Govt allocates GHS50m to national research fund to boost innovation

The government has allocated GHS50 million to the Ghana National Research Fund. This funding aims to enhance research and innovation in the country.

The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, announced this on June 4. He spoke during the inauguration of the fund's council. He called the fund essential for national development.

Iddrisu stated, “This year, we have allocated 50 million Ghana cedis for the National Research Fund.” He added that there is significant interest in the fund's work. If successful, additional support may follow.
