Ghana’s government has completed the reconstruction of the Nigerian High Commission's property, which was demolished by armed men in Accra four years ago.
At a handover ceremony, Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey urged foreign missions to ensure their documents are regularly reviewed and properly registered to avoid similar incidents.
The Nigerian government thanked Ghana for its swift action, which helped prevent diplomatic tensions.
The rebuilt property, a four-bedroom flat, will house the High Commission's staff and stands as a symbol of the enduring cooperation between Ghana and Nigeria.
