Govt’s flagship 24- Hour Economy policy aligns with RMU’s mandate-Transport Minister - Ghanaian Times

The Ghanaian government's 24-hour economy policy is designed to enhance productivity and economic growth, aligning with the mandate of the Railways Management Unit (RMU). Transport Minister Kwaku Ofori Asiamah emphasized that this initiative aims to optimize resources and improve service delivery across various sectors. By promoting round-the-clock operations, the government seeks to create a more dynamic economic environment that can better meet the needs of citizens and businesses alike.

Minister Asiamah highlighted that the RMU plays a crucial role in supporting this policy through efficient rail transport services. The integration of railways into the broader economic framework is expected to facilitate trade and reduce transportation costs, ultimately benefiting both consumers and producers. This alignment underscores the importance of infrastructure development in achieving sustainable economic growth.

Furthermore, the minister urged stakeholders to collaborate effectively in implementing this policy. He believes that by working together, they can harness the full potential of Ghana's resources, ensuring that the 24-hour economy becomes a reality for all Ghanaians. This collaborative approach is essential for fostering an environment conducive to investment and innovation.
