The Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) has terminated all caterer contracts. This decision affects caterers nationwide.
An official statement was released on May 2, 2025. It stated that no current caterer should provide meals for the third term of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The GSFP emphasized that all contracts are terminated immediately. They assured affected caterers that outstanding payments will be settled soon.
“All outstanding arrears for the second term will be paid in due course,” the statement said. The GSFP explained that this termination is part of a restructuring effort.
New guidelines for recruiting caterers will be announced shortly. “The GSFP Secretariat will soon announce the modalities for new caterer recruitment,” it added.
The Ghana School Feeding Programme aims to boost school enrolment and retention. It provides free daily meals to pupils in public basic schools.
