Greater Accra Minister vows to restore 70% of streetlights in 50 days

Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Akweley Ocloo, has committed to repairing 70% of Accra’s faulty streetlights within her first 50 days in office.

She emphasized that improving street lighting is a priority to enhance security and visibility across the city.

Speaking in Accra, Ocloo assured collaboration with Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to achieve this goal.

Additionally, she announced plans to revive the Regional Sanitation Day and introduce an award scheme for the cleanest city.

As part of the government’s Resetting Agenda, she aims to make local assemblies self-sufficient while engaging traditional and religious leaders to promote decentralization and participatory governance.
