Greater Accra Regional Minister expresses concern about rejection of MMDCEs nominees

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ms. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, is worried. She is concerned about the ongoing rejection of nominees for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).

These rejections could harm the development of affected assemblies. Without MDCEs, development projects may stagnate. This delay can hinder community advancement and national growth.

Mrs. Ocloo urged assembly members and government appointees to work together. They should collaborate effectively with MMDCEs for a smooth confirmation process.

She spoke to journalists on Thursday in Ada, Accra. This was after Mr. Kenneth Kabu Kanor failed to secure the necessary votes for his confirmation as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ada East.

She emphasized the need for better collaboration between nominees and assembly members to achieve successful outcomes.
