Guinness Ghana has shown its commitment to youth empowerment again. This year, 210 trainees graduated from the Learning for Life program.
Over 60 percent of the graduates were female. This reflects the program's focus on gender inclusivity in skills development.
During the graduation ceremony, Malik Basintale spoke. He is the CEO of the Youth Empowerment Agency (YEA). He praised Guinness Ghana for equipping youth with essential skills.
Basintale assured graduates that YEA will help them find meaningful jobs. He expressed gratitude to Guinness Ghana and DIAGEO Group for their support.
"This initiative shows how private sector efforts can empower youth," he said.
Felicite Nson, Managing Director of Guinness Ghana, also spoke at the event. She highlighted the company's success in providing relevant skills training to youth.
Nson emphasized reducing gender barriers in training programs. She noted that both men and women have equal opportunities in these sessions.
"Globally, this program has helped over 200,000 people," she stated. "At least half of them are women."
She added that flexible schedules make learning accessible for everyone. This helps those who face barriers to acquiring necessary skills.
Some trainees shared their experiences during the ceremony. They expressed gratitude for what they gained from the program.
Many encouraged other youth to join similar training programs for a brighter future.
Looking ahead, Guinness Ghana aims to expand its reach further. The company wants to train more youth across the country and build a skilled workforce.
