Guru wins appeal, back in UG SRC Presidential race

Hiplife artist Guru NKZ (Maradona Adjei Yeboah) is back in the University of Ghana's SRC presidential race after his disqualification was overturned.

He was initially removed from the race for not meeting the residency requirement under Article 30, which mandates that candidates be campus residents.

Guru and his running mate, Jeffery Adu Yeboah, filed a petition and obtained an injunction to stop the election process.

On September 15, 2024, the appeals board unanimously reversed the disqualification. Guru will now participate in the upcoming candidate balloting on September 16.
