Habib Iddrisu, the Member of Parliament for Tolon, has called for a Commission of Enquiry. This commission should investigate the ongoing controversy over alleged suspicious flights in the country.
Iddrisu believes this issue raises serious national concerns. He insists that a thorough and transparent probe is necessary to uncover the truth and restore public trust.
His comments came after an attempt to arrest Rev. John Ntim Fordjour. Fordjour is the MP for Assin South and Ranking Member on the Interior and Defence Committee. The attempted arrest occurred on Wednesday, April 9, by officials from the National Investigations Bureau (NIB).
Speaking on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News, Iddrisu emphasized the need for an impartial body. He wants this body to investigate the allegations and hold those responsible accountable.
“A Commission of Enquiry will be the best way to handle this matter,” he stated. It would provide an independent platform to examine all allegations thoroughly.
Iddrisu urged the government to act quickly in establishing this commission. He warned that failing to address these issues could impact national security and public confidence.
