Hajia Fati Forgor assumes office as new School Feeding Programme Coordinator

Hajia Fati Forgor has officially taken office as the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), promising to build on the achievements of her predecessor, Hajia Safia Mohammed.

She will be working alongside her two deputies, Madam Felicia Mekpoi Bortey and Madam Faustina Lamptey.

During a handing-over ceremony on March 10, 2025, Hajia Safia Mohammed formally transferred office responsibilities, including official vehicles and documents, to the new leadership. She pledged her support whenever needed and urged staff to cooperate with the new administration.

In her remarks, Hajia Fati Forgor emphasized teamwork and urged staff to avoid internal conflicts, stating her commitment to fair leadership based on personal interactions rather than hearsay.

Meanwhile, the government has increased the feeding grant per child from GHȼ1.50 to GHȼ2.00 per meal per day, as announced by Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson in the 2025 budget statement.
