African countries need to work together on regulatory frameworks. This will help promote trade, digital payments, and financial inclusion.
Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, emphasized this point. He spoke at the 3i Africa Summit in Accra yesterday.
He stated that collaboration is essential for achieving a unified African market.
The Governor highlighted the importance of harmonizing regulations across the continent. He also mentioned fostering interoperability in financial systems.
Building trust and transparency across jurisdictions is crucial as well. “No single institution can drive this transformation alone,” he said.
